A well-kept secret has been unearthed by the reporters of The National Cackler. Boo Boo was to make a live televised appearance at the Arkansas RimRockers game at Alltel Arena on Saturday, April 1. The day before, Boo Boo was rushed to All Creatures Animal Hospital with what appeared to be the onset of her expiration date! That's right, she was found lying down in her private suite with heavy breathing, apparently breathing her last. She had a seizure that seemed to indicate the end! A call was made to ACAH and it was the doctor's day off!! But she just happened to be coming in for a short time around noon. Boo Boo was rushed from Arkadelphia to Hot Springs with some fervent words of the Lord being spoken over her. By the time we reached Hot Springs, she had lifted her head. By the time we saw the doctor, she was standing. Doc Smith gave her a shot and sent six days of shots home with Boo Boo. Boo Boo made a successful appearance at the RimRockers game (the RR's won, too), and she has fully recovered from the vicious attack. Apparently it was an infection and a fever, and, we made sure she started getting plenty of oyster shell, since a deficiency of calcium can cause seizures in a chicken (and cause cramps in people).
